Czorta Nova
June 20, 1983 - August 7, 2011
Czorta, a beautiful 27 year old gray Arabian mare, was the senior-most horse here at Van & Sons Farm for the last two years. Czorta retired as a therapeutic riding mount around 2006, and had been enjoying life as a much-loved pasture horse ever since! Czorta is is sadly missed by the VanRaemdonck family.

Delilah
Delilah, a  gorgeous chestnut 17 year old Quarter Horse cross, is one of the largest horses here at the farm. She is owned and loved by the VanRaemdonck family. She was purchased with an unclear training history, but now is working diligently on becoming a dressage mount! We look forward to competing in 2011!

Starr
Starr is an 18 year old bay roan Appaloosa mare. She was kindly donated for use as a therapy/lesson horse, however, we feel she would be best suited to an individual rider. Starr has certainly set the bar for what we expect in horses with regard to ground manners. With her beautiful disposition, stunning good looks and easy trot, she has great promise for a future as a first horse or trail buddy!

Lucy in the Sky
Lucy is an absolutely adorable black and white pinto "A" mini. She is owned and loved by the entire VanRaemdonck family, including the youngest member, Mason. She is very laid back, yet has a stubborn "I'm going to plant my feet and not move" streak. As a yearling, her future is being carefully developed. We hope to train her to harness towards the end of her 2nd year, and we also hope to utilize Lucy as a therapy horse. As you can see, she gets along beautifully with children.

LaTDa
This beautiful, curious 4 year old Haflinger mare is a very loved part of Mr. & Mrs. Tom Mundy's family. She's sweet and full of mischeif - "La-T", as she's referred to around the farm, likes to steal gloves out of people's pockets when they aren't watching and get yummy treats from her mom in between work sessions!

Blaze
Blaze is the newest addition to Tom and Rosemary Mundy's equine family. He is a 14 year old Spotted Saddle/TWH and he gaits BEAUTIFULLY and parks out with perfection! When Tom saddles him up, Blaze is always eager to go!

 "Miss Raffles"
Raffles is a 6 year old POA mare, and is the apple of her owners' eyes :-) She enjoys diced carrots and apples, and will stick her nose out for a kiss if you offer her some! She recently completed her final certification as a POA and has been shown many times, her favorite classes being Trail in Hand.

"Dory"
Dory is a super-cute 4 year old palomino "A" mini, and is loved and adored by the Mundy family. She is very sweet and has a lot of energy. She is often witnessed tearing around their turn-out high speed, frolicking and bucking and getting even her larger neighbors fired up! We consider her to be the barn cheer-leader.

"Charley"
Charley is an approximately 21 years young, gorgeous palomino Appaloosa cross. She is loved and spoiled by the Weirauch family, as well as their Horses for Hope friends! She gets lots of attention as Linda's staple lesson horse and 'other' daughter. She also serves as an integral part of Horses for Hope's Chemo Kid program, carrying her delicate riders with great care. Charley, and the Weirauch's other horse, Boomer, are trail and parade veterans, having promoted Horses for Hope's cause in many local parades and horsey activities.

"Boomer"
Boomer is a 15 year old red roan dun Quarter Horse that also serves as a central part of Linda and Greg Weirauch's Horses for Hope herd. His main mode of going is "slowly but surely". He seems to have a special affection for children, and carries them delicately.

 Rio
Rio, a beautiful bay Appendix Quarter Horse is owned and spoiled by Elizabeth Krupp. He loves trail riding and likes to go! In his past life he was used as a pony horse at the race track! Rio was also used as part of Flushing Junior Equestrian Team in 2009! Around here, we think he's too smart for his own good.

"Moose"
Moose is the newest addition to the farm family. This big gray gelding is being leased by Miss Jessie Turk, and she is currently retraining him as a barrel horse! We can't wait to see these guys compete! Standing at about 16 hands, his name is certainly fitting.

"Lily"
Lily is a beautiful little pony in her early twenties who is owned and loved by Ms. Arianna. She loves attention and especially loves dinner time. Lily's background includes pleasure driving, trail riding, and Arianna has even shown Lily!

"Louden"
Louden is an adorable "B" Miniature Horse owned and very adored by Ms. Sofia. Hard to tell, but Louden is also in his early twenties! Sofi and Louden love working patterns in hand, and have brought home many first place ribbons from showing Trail in Hand and halter!

"Buddy"
Buddy is a 9 year old sorrel American Quarter horse, is loved by the Henke family. His sweet disposition and beautiful gaits make him an excellent family horse. He is always the first to the gate anytime it is approached.

"Bella"
Bella is a gorgeous, 7 year old bright chestnut Saddlebred mare who is owned and loved by Emma Wegher. Bella is sweet and laid-back, quietly seeking attention and goodies. Emma and Bella share a very special bond and make a lovely team!

"Goober"
Goober is a stunning black breeding stock Paint gelding. He is loved and owned by Ms. Jessie Turk. Jessie and Goober have amassed many top ribbons competing locally, Western and Hunt Seat! He is a very sweet, attention loving gelding with a fun personality!
