      Van & Sons Farm is so glad to have Almar Orchard as their neighbor! We exchange our organic manure for access to trails on

      their beautiful, organic 250 acre orchard. They have the best apples (our personal favorites are the Honeycrisp!), and fun for the

      whole family - including a petting farm (including llamas, donkeys, pot bellied pigs and reindeer), horse drawn wagon rides

      through the orchard, a playground, a farm market and of course, FRESH APPLE CIDER DONUTS!!!!

 

      John and Michele Dunkel breed and show astoundingly beautiful, personable Halflinger horses, whom we have

      the pleasure of boarding from time to time. Everyone (especially us!) is amazed not only by their beautiful flaxen manes and

      chestnut coloring, but also by their gentle, friendly spirit. If you need a Halflinger or are interested in breeding your Halflinger,

      we know just who you should contact :-) Michele is also Van & Sons Farm's primary small animal veterinarian at the

      nearby Riverside Animal Hospital.

 

      Dr. Rooker, or Doc, as he's known around our farm, is our first choice of veterinarian. He has many years of experience and

      much knowledge, wisdom and common sense under his belt - we'd recommend him to anyone who owns a horse.
