Van & Sons Farm
was built on property that has been in the VanRaemdonck family for four generations. The name of our farm is an homage to a family owned business that was operated on the property many years ago. While the horse barn is newly built, the property itself is
nearly a Michigan Centennial Farm, it has served as "home" for 5 generations of VanRaemdoncks, the youngest of whom is 3!
The stable is surrounded by the barn owner's family: our son and brother's properties adjoin and overlook the farm! Nothing here goes unnoticed!
We love farming
and feel incredibly blessed to be able to carry on an American
tradition. In addition to boarding horses and offering riding lessons,
we enjoy sharing the harvest of our yearly organic vegetable garden, and
the farm fresh eggs provided by our free-range chickens! Nothing says
"goodness" like the orange-y yolk of a farm fresh egg!
Music is a
huge part of the VanRaemdonck family - Van & Son's Farm is looking
forward to carrying on the 5th annual MaxFest Bluegrass Festival,
and the 2nd Annual VAM Jam. All of our boarders, lesson students and
their families are encouraged to join us!
Please
check our News & Events site to learn dates and times. The bluegrass
festival was started by brothers Matt and Mark in honor of their
banjo-picking father, Max. Keeping the tradition of music alive, we have
also added the Vintage Area Musician jam, envisioned and brought to
life by Matt and his brother Eric! Come to either or both and enjoy
good food, great fun and AMAZING entertainment!
We
love seeing new faces and sharing our enthusiasm for horses, equine
related activities and music. Whether you are looking for a
new residence for your beloved horse(s), looking to start your first
journey with horses, or looking to share that journey with a loved one,
we can help! While we do not house stallions at our farm, we welcome all
horse breeds and all disciplines of riding!
